23rd ANNUAL SCHAEFFER EYE CENTER CRAWFISH BOIL ANNOUNCES 2008 LINEUP and DATES

Fergie and 3 Doors Down to Headline
Event Moving to New Site

BIRMINGHAM, AL – The 23rd annual Schaeffer Eye Center Crawfish Boil, presented by Bud Lite True Music, WVTM, NBC13 HD and Charter Telephone, announces this year’s headliners Fergie and 3 Doors Down and supporting acts including T-Pain, Flo Rida, Seether, Corey Smith and Gavin DeGraw. The Boil is set for Friday, May 2 and Saturday May 3 in downtown Birmingham, and will be held on the BJCC campus near the future site of The Forge Entertainment District.

“With work beginning on the Railroad Reservation Park, we had to find an alternate location for the 2008 event,” said Gary Weinberger of Red Mountain Entertainment, which produces the Schaeffer Eye Center Crawfish Boil. “Having it on the BJCC campus was an easy decision – the parking is great and people know the location. We are basically providing a preview of exciting entertainment to come as the BJCC works toward construction of its entertainment district in that area.”

The two-day festival features over 15,000 pounds of crawfish delivered fresh from Louisiana and attracts more than 40,000 fans. The 2008 lineup includes:
